& Travel Information:
Hire
period :
Hire commences from the day of pick up to the day of
drop off inclusive.
Hire charges are based on a daily cost calculated from day of
pick up as day one to drop off as the last day.
Fuel
:
2 Berth units are
Petrol powered, all vehicles come with a full
fuel and LPG tank (camping gas,propane)
Vehicles are to be returned with a full fuel and LPG
tank .
Note for Auckland returns,the LPG tank will need to be refilled at
a gas station at least 15 kms from the airport
(this is due to an airport authority requirement that there be no
L.P.G refueling stations within 15 kms of the airport)
Unlimited Travel :
All of our daily rental rates are on an unlimited kilometre basis.
2 Berth Hi-top
2 berth campervans are 1991 - 1994 Ford or Toyota petrol units
All units are very clean, tidy & reliable.
Camping
Parks :
There are more than 300 fully equipped camping parks spread
around New Zealand.
Booking is not normally necessary except during the peak holiday
periods
(December to January).
Road
Rules :
In New Zealand we drive on the left side of the road and give way to
traffic from the right.
Speed limits are strictly enforced: 50 kilometres per hour in urban
areas and 100 kilometres per hour on the highways.
Distances are measured
in kilometres.
Driver's
License :
A standard car license
is all that is required to drive an your
Rental Camper in New Zealand. All drivers must
present a
current New Zealand,
International, or acceptable overseas license
written in English at
commencement of hire.
Hirers and drivers must be over 21 years of age.
Vehicle
Insurance / Bond :
Full vehicle and third
party Insurance is compulsory - There is an
excess (insurance bond)
on 2 berth campervans of $1200.00.
For drivers 25 years or less the excess will be an additional
25% premium. The insurance Bond is held in the form of a credit card
imprint - and is not debited unless the vehicle is involved
in an accident.
Bond
Reduction Options :
The insurance
excess will be held in the form of a Bond.
This can be paid in the form
of a credit card imprint
(visa or mastercard), Cash, Travellers cheques
or a Bank transfer.
It is fully refundable at the completion of hire if the campervan is
returned in a reasonably clean and tidy condition, the campervan
has
not been damaged or involved in an accident and the fuel tank is full.
NOMAD offers daily insurance
options where by the bond can
be reduced to either NZ$600 or NZ$100.

The daily insurance amount is calculated depending on the term
of
hire and in all cases reduces the bond significantly.

All traffic infringements,
speeding tickets etc. are the sole responsibility
of the
driver / hirer and will be deducted from the insurance bond
if not resolved
by the hirer. Any tickets received
by Nomad resulting
from your hire will incur a NZ$50.00 charge
for administration costs..
Windscreens
:
Windscreen breakage is not covered by the bond and will be
deducted from the bond. Windscreens are covered under
the daily insurance
option.
Liability
:
In the event of any unforeseen circumstances or breakdowns,
Nomad Campervan Rentals can only be liable for the amount of
your daily hire.
Deposit
A credit card number or a NZ$300.00 deposit
is required to secure a firm booking.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy applies unless other arrangements are negotiated
between NOMAD Campervan Rentals Ltd and the hirer.
